Introducing Marrow March

Marrow March is an incremental tower defense game about one wall and the dead who will not stop walking at it. It runs in the browser, it is free, and as of today a handful of people can play it.

The idea

Every night a skeleton host marches on the last wall, and you are the commander holding it. You place soldiers on the field, train them, and watch the line hold or break. When it breaks, the game does not end the way a tower defense usually does: after the first age, a breach moves the fight inside, onto the road to the city gate, and you hold that instead. The moment the wall comes down and the dead pour into the road is the moment the whole game is built around.

The other half is the incremental loop. Gold is for the run you are in. Essence is for good: you keep it when you fall, and it grows the Essence Tree, 351 upgrades across 6disciplines. When a whole line of commanders ends, what survives is Legacy, and the Ancestral Sky makes every line after it climb faster. Losing is never wasted.

Where it is

The March has 10 ages of 20 assaults, six kinds of soldier, thirteen kinds of the dead and a boss at the end of every age. Right now it is in a small closed test: I want to watch real people play the first hour before anyone else does. The free demo opens to everyone in October 2026.

How to get in

If you would like to play the closed test, write to marrowmarch@gmail.com and I will send you the password. Tell me where you stopped and why: that is the most useful thing anyone can give me right now.
